This woven fabric is a silk blend. It is woven to look as if it is a large basketweave in contrasting shades of black and a bright neon sign yellow. It almost appears as if the basketweave pattern was printed with a “dry brush” look. It is a light medium weight fabric with a slightly rough textured hand and a light crisp, somewhat stiff drape. It would be a great fabric for coats, jackets, skirts and wide leg tailored pants. It is quite modern, but not too over the top. It could definitely be a statement piece, whether styled in classic lines or a more funky shape
