Flannel is a type of finish that a fabric goes through. It is brushed on the surface creating a soft, fuzzy finish. It is most commonly found in cottons but also can be seen in wool suiting. Cotton flannel is suitable for shirting, loungewear, quilting and craft projects. Wool flannel is suitable for blazers, pants, skirts and dresses.
