Join us in one of our popular live virtual sewing classes! Take your sewing skills to the next level with nationally-known sewing instructors!
All classes are live virtual classes held via Zoom. All classes are recorded and available for a limited time. An email with the recording is sent to all paid participants after the class.
We offer a few different types of class formats:
- "Stitch Talks" are lecture-style presentations. They are great if you can't commit to a multi-week or longer class. You normally do not make anything during Stitch Talks, so get yourself comfy with your favorite drink, snack and enjoy an evening with your favorite hobby!
- Sew-along Classes are hands-on classes where you sew during the session. These classes are normally around 3-8 hours at one time. Customers love these classes because you can sew in the comfort of your own home without dragging a heavy sewing machine into a classroom! You also have access to the teacher during class. Some sew-along classes are multi-week as noted.
- Demonstration-style Classes are instruction classes that are normally multi-week. These are perfect for sewists who can't commit to an all-day sew along class. In demo classes , the teacher will go through the project step-by-step, then you sew on your own time in between sessions. Each week you will receive a recording of the session so you can refer back to it on your own time.
Chanel-inspired Cardi - A "Stitch Talk" with Pamela Leggett
Date: Monday, September 27 - 7-9pm ET via Zoom
A fashionable cardigan jacket has been a wardrobe staple for decades and is worn in settings from professional to dressy to weekend casual. Now you can make a Chanel-inspired jacket from a knit fabric, combining the style and versatility of a structured jacket with the comfort of a sweater. Pamela will show you how to adapt a basic T-shirt pattern to create a jacket that rivals costly ready-to-wear by names such as St John, Escada and Missoni. You’ll learn how to select a suitable knit fabric, which interfacings to use, how to install a back half lining, and finish the jacket edges with statement-making trims. Ooh la la!
